With RAW Design Studios, I want to create a website that makes people excited and inspired by design. Whether its product, interior or furniture design you are into, this website will allow you to see my creations linked to design. As a product design student, I will focus on products to design, however, I will occasionally go into different disciplines to broaden my knowledge and open up my projects to new areas of design.

My Design Principles

1. Solid design

I want all of my products to be made with with manufacturing processes that benefit the user long term. I do not want my products to break easily, but built to last many years.

2. Do not cause unnecessary harm

Through the use of understanding the impact design has on the world around us, i want my processes to release as little pollution as possible and create as little waste to allow for a sustainable design.

3. Let function inform design

Allow the user, in the prototype stage, a feel for the product. If they do not feel a feature is being used effectively then let us know and we can try and make it more consumer based. Go back and adjust things to allow for a customer-centric approach.

4. Solve existing problems

We all want to make the world a better place, through our designs and thinking, then why would we create a solution to a problem that does not exist. In my opinion, design is about creating new solutions to combat old problems.
